Red Queen
The land outside of the Old City was supposed to be green, lush, hopeful. But the verdant fields are nothing but ash-and hope is nowhere to be found. Still, Alice and Hatcher are on a mission to find his daughter: a quest they will not Forsake even as it takes them deep into the clutches of the mod White Queen or into the realm of the twisted and cruel Black King. The pieces are set and the game has begun, and each move brings Alice closer to her destiny.
The Mermaid
Once there was a fisherman who lived on a cold and rocky coast and was never able to convince any woman to come away and live in that forbidding place with him. One evening he pulled up his net and found a woman in it. A woman with black hair and eyes as grey as a stormy sea and a gleaming fish's tail instead of legs. The storm in her eyes rolled into his heart. She stopped her thrashing and crashing at his voice, though she did not understand his words. But her eyes had seen inside of him, and his loneliness caught her more surely than the net. So she stayed with him, and loved him, though he grew old, and she did not. Remarks of this strange and unusual woman travelled from village to village and town to town, until they reached the ears of a man whose business was in the selling of the strange and unusual. His name was P.T. Barnum, and he'd been looking for a mermaid.
Alice
In a warren of crumbling buildings and desperate people called the Old City, there stands a hospital with cinderblock walls which echo with the screams of the poor souls inside.In the hospital, there is a woman. Her hair, once blonde, hangs in tangles down her back. She doesn't remember why she's in such a terrible place-just a tea party long ago, and long ears, and blood...Then, one night, a fire at the hospital gives the woman a chance to escape, tumbling out of the hole that imprisoned her, leaving her free to uncover the truth about what happened to her all those years ago.Only something else has escaped with her. Something dark. Something powerful.And to find the truth, she will have to track this beast to the very heart of the Old City, where the rabbit waits for his Alice.

Fantastic foam!

Bought this so I can cut down on my trips to Starbucks and recreate those drinks "to go" at home.
It works for making any kind of foam...most recently been whipping up 1/8c half n half with it and added syrups for my iced coffees I take to work.
Soooooo worth the money. Starbucks quality foam (if you're not a coffee snob) at home. I now enjoy having iced coffees with salted caramel or chocolate creme cold foam that costs less than $2 to make at home versus $15 at the drive-thru.
